  1. Turn on Bluetooth and set it visible to nearby devices on the pairing device. In my case, it's a HTC One.
  2. On your Galaxy S4, go to home Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and slide the Bluetooth switch to the right. By default, it'll start scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices immediately. (If not, you can initiate the scanning by tapping Scan at the bottom of the screen)
  3. If the pairing device (HTC One) is closed within 10m, your Galaxy S4 should be able to detect and list it in the Available devices section. Now, tap the HTC One icon to see a prompt of 6-digit passkey on both the devices. Note: Ensure both 6-digit passkeys appear to be the same.
  4. Next, tap Ok or Pair on both devices to establish the pairing. A successfully paired device will appear in Paired devices section on your Galaxy S4.
  5. Once your Galaxy S4 has successful paired up a device, you can start sharing the music or video files. Now, launch the My Files app, and the follow by selecting either Music or Videos.
  6. Next, long tap a music file (or video file) that you would like to share, and then select Share via.
  7. Select Bluetooth.
  8. On the Select device screen, tap the device which will receive the file.
  9. On the peer device, you need to accept the file to start the transfer.
